An appointment has been made for you to attend Dr Al-Ausi’s Vasectomy Clinic

Your appointment date, time and venue is detailed in your confirmation email

Shortening the hair on the scrotum by the safe use of scissors, hair clippers or shaving is preferable as it will make the procedure more comfortable for you

You should not eat or drink at all for 6 hours before your vasectomy, and your last meal should be light

We recommend you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment

There is a large private car park at the clinic

Please report to reception when you arrive

Toilet facilities are available

During the appointment Dr Al-Ausi will discuss the procedure with you and you will have the opportunity to raise any concerns that you may have

If you are happy to go ahead with the procedure, your vasectomy will be performed during this appointment

You may benefit from wearing “snug fitting” underwear on the day and for seven days thereafter

You are able to drive following the procedure as it is done under local anaesthetic. However you should allow 10-15 minutes to sit down and recover before driving
